Together with the UL HPC Team, I have organized on May 6th and 7th, 2014 the first edition of the UL High Performance Computing School, which was held on the Kirchberg campus in Luxembourg, “Salle Paul Feidert”.

During this 2 days event, the leading computational scientists of the University of Luxembourg and HPC technologists offered instructions and practical sessions on a variety of topics, including:

  • Access to and interaction with the UL HPC infrastructures
  • HPC challenges, especially as regards data and storage management
  • HPC workflow management
  • HPC Programming and Usage of the main softwares available on the platform (Mathlab, R, MPI etc.)
  • Performance analysis, debugging & profiling
  • Scientific visualization

The aim was to cover basic as well as advanced usage of the platform. The instructions and slides of the [many] sessions performed during the HPC School are available on the program page. I also gave two keynotes you can check here:
